Disconnecting from servers

I don’t know so much that this is a bug but Roblox seems to be really jumpy when it comes to disconnecting me from servers. The slightest change in my network usage and I’m exited from the game. Send a screenshot? disconnected. Turn on music? disconnected. I usually can’t play a game for longer than 10-20 minutes before I’m disconnected, even without doing something that would take up bandwidth, though there is some correlation. It seems like Roblox is not even giving my network a chance to catch up, one tiny hiccup and I’m out of the game. It’s really annoying.

I mean, my internet really isn’t even that bad

This seems like an issue that should be fixable. If you need any other details/information/testing let me know. I don’t know how to provide for most of the bug report checklist when it’s a network error.

I’m on Windows 10

I’m sure you’ve heard this question before, but… have you checked your firewall settings yet?

And are you sure it’s not your internet itself or your router that’s having connectivity problems?

I mean everything else works fine, It’s just when my internet hiccups ever so slightly it disconnects me. Like most games I might get a “Attempting to reconnect” and then I’m back playing just fine within seconds. Roblox however seems to just automatically boot me which is quite annoying

Just to be sure, I would check your firewall and the like. More often than not that’s the problem.

what would I even check? Is there a setting that randomly disconnects roblox every 15-20 minutes?

Despite working in the telecom industry I’m not much of a network-y person.

A lot of the time, if you have a firewall on your computer it will block / restrict network access to the ROBLOX client.

Just open your firewall, go through its interface and click “add exception” (or similiar) to the firewall’s whitelist and select the ROBLOX client.
