Dispatch | Simple Train Simulator

Dispatch is a brand new train simulator I have been working on since May 2020. I took a very long hiatus from Roblox, spanning from last May to practically December, so there was a huge gap in development, setting the initial release date far behind schedule. The infrastructure itself was originally designed for a cancelled concept, Hot Steel. Only a few photos of the concept still exist, one of them being on my Developer Medium article.

Some of you might know me from a previous train simulator that I formerly owned. Dispatch is intended to be a spiritual successor, with tons of new features that the former game does not currently have. One of the newest and most unique features of Dispatch is customizations, like allowing users to change the horn sound “on-the-fly” on their locomotive to three or more of the preset ID’s. They can achieve this with simple keybinds.

The game currently utilizes DepthOfField, Bloom, Atmosphere, Clouds, and SunRays for lighting effects. The above screenshots are unedited and taken straight from gameplay. Nothing is actually in solid stone yet, as things are still buggy here and there. One thing I still need to work out is an anti-troll measure for player collisions.

Are you interested in becoming a game tester for Dispatch? My game studio, Inertia (formerly Project Scorch and Inertia UX), is looking for game testers and advisors to help out.

At this time, Game Testers gain early access to the game (as expected, lol), but they will also get in-game perks when perks are introduced. Payment is definitely on our list, but we currently do not have funds to provide them.

Feel free to send my primary group a join request! There are no minimum requirements to become a Game Tester. All you are encouraged to do is report significant bugs, test out features, and provide feedback on gameplay / said features.

As for the release date, I am slating it to be between May or June. There is still a lot to do, and my hiatus from last year set it back a longshot, unfortunately.
