Hi so I’ve been looking around for like 20 minutes and testing and my Humanoid.DisplayName even when changed on the server and it prints that it’s changed does not change and always is my Roblox Account chosen display name? I just change the name in a server script in a character added???
Note: I just want to change the current character’s name above their head to a custom name without making a custom name tag.
You can’t exactly change a DisplayName, you’d have to make a custom tag.
I’ve seen players change the roblox given name before In multiple games?
It is possible. Use a character added event and wait for a second or two before changing the humanoid display name since it gets reset every time a player loads in.
It works when a command is used but even waiting in a characteradded doesn’t change it by script? Do you know why?
