Recently I found a game that copied a bunch of models from my original game. I won’t share any info here due to privacy, but the models are copied from me entirely, without any changes or modifications. No doubt they used exploit to download my entire map, but that’s not the main issue.
The problem I faced is that my DMCA removal requests get rejected all the time. I’ve tried all means of reporting: support, copyright agent, rights manager. Every time I get the same reply:
So here’s my question: does anyone have tips on what to do in this case? How clear must screenshots be to prove that the model “contains sufficient originality?” What details should I add? I’m kind of new to this whole thing, but from what I heard, it IS possible to DMCA when someone copied only some models, not the whole map.
Any advice is welcome!
no, but even if I was hacked, it should not stop Roblox from complying with DMCA.
Actually, I think I took screenshots in a wrong way or provided not enough explanation in my request, that’s why I came here to ask if anyone ever had similar problem and how they solved it (and if there’s maybe a template or smth)
Like not long ago people got DMCAed over 4x1x2 base part, so definitely there must be some tricks how to succeed in doing this
You gotta file your DMCA the old fashioned way.
You’re gonna have to deal with the support team and absolutely garbage excuses for reply times, but it’s your only option. Not to mention if it does get denied again they’ll probably give you a different response.
