Hello! So I’ve recently worked for a game, like scripting and such and somehow after some time I’ve got an email saying that a strike was assigned to my account , due to a DMCA request. Why? It is not my game nor my property, all i did was to code it. Can I do something about this? And can I do something in the future to prevent this?
The dmca just sends it to everyone with developer access im pretty sure. To prevent it, don’t associate with any copyright infringing projects. It sucks and its unfair and I hope it gets changed.
Well this is annoying… because you cant really know who you work for especially if you do gigs for people, like I do… hope they find a solution or at least an appeal system where we could provide strong evidence I mean if I publish the game let’s say a year ago and the owner decides to change its contents i still get the strike…
Great
It shouldn’t happen if you don’t have developer access to the game anymore im pretty sure. Also you can’t appeal a DMCA strike without lawyers. Just look at Sharkblox’s video where he was banned from an adiadas shirt he uploaded 10 years ago. He only got unbanned because he sent an email to robloxs dmca takedown request email that was ignored.
