I was improperly sent a DMCA takedown/DMCA warning earlier today for a game that I have not touched/owned/edited/modified/etc. in more than a year. I originally uploaded the game as a completely different file from a previous game I had made and then the group was sold by the owner to a completely new team of developers. They then changed the game (while keeping the orig. badges) to a fortnite clone using stolen assets. They received thousands of players and millions of visits all of which I had nothing to do with.
This is one of three badges I created for the game (uploaded). The reason I show this is because the group was sold about a month after I created it.
Proof that a fortnite clone was uploaded over the game without any removal of previous assets.
As I said above, I am the place creator under the group itself however I have not edited it in more than a year. Why is there no check for this?
Expected behavior
I expect for the DMCA to be issued to the owner or developers of the group. Not the place creator who hasn’t been in the group for more than a year and never touched the current game.
