Do parts or meshes create less lag?

Hello, everyone.

Well, the question is simple. Do parts or meshes create less lag?
Say I have… 100 -200 parts for a complex staircase. Should I import those parts to blender and import it back to roblox studio as a mesh to prevent lag, or should I keep it?

if there are so many blocks the mesh would be better although I would tell you that it would be better to make the ladder from blender, 1 cube has 2 triangles for each face, they could be reduced if you erase the faces of the cube where it will not be seen, it would be more work.

100-200 parts like normal
But mesh it will lag if your mesh is high triangle at least 20k try decrease tris in blender
Part aka brick 1 part to 12 tris not lag

There are a lot of different cases to be made here, but I would prefer to make a complex staircase in Blender. There’s a variety of optimization techniques you can use. Modular Assets, Trim sheets, Decal sheets, optimizing your geometry, baking, and using textures with small resolutions. There are so many ways you can minimize the footprint of a mesh leaves on your game as opposed to parts. Not to also mention that you have more creative freedom, I would lean towards using meshes as opposed to parts.
