Do you think I should do GFX commissions?

Hey there. I started GFX designing about 2 weeks ago…I’ve been practicing and I don’t know if I should do GFX commisions or start to sell Roblox GFX for robux (or USD). What do you think?

Here are some of my work:

Do you think I should do commisions?

I would work on the lighting and start adding effects to the GFXs.

Once you are experienced with photo editing and blender itself, then I guess you can. Make sure you know how to do commissions and look at other portfolios.
Another tip I have is to experiment with Cycles instead of Eevee (if you’re on blender).

I think you need a bit more experience as you have been doing it for only 2 weeks.

i don’t think so. your gfx have very unnatural lighting and posing, character design choices that don’t always fit the scene, and low quality rendered images. you need to work on it more, and I recommend you sell for robux. also your f stops are insane like this bright spot is practically white you need filmic blender my guy

also sometimes your hat positioning is wrong, your shadows aren’t right, character positioning isn’t right, or sometimes you make figures look the wrong way. like in the third gfx the zombies give off the impression of a thinking human. you have a long way to go my friend, good luck.

also photo editing learn that too

You can start to make commissions whenever you want, but starting with low price and raise it by months. As people are saying, you can practice more, but still having comms sheet

In short : You need to improve more because that doesn’t meet with the minimum gfx commission standards. trust me.

Whats the difference between cycles and eevee? I use eevee because its way faster at rendering.

I’ll just go through each render and critique them:
The first render

  • A light in a random place
  • Flat ground
  • Something wrong is in the background, but I’m not sure what

The second render:

  • That’s not how you sit on a chair.
  • Lighting is odd, light seems to come form no where
  • Cabinets could probably use textures
  • Is that cylinder floating off the ground?
  • Hair is clipping through body.

The third render:

  • Lighting is weird
  • Where are they? The plane just seems to abruptly end.
  • Floor is flat, despite looking like a tile.

For all of these renders, I suggest you learn more about lighting and composition.

Cycles is slower, but looks better compared to eevee.

Maybe not yet. Your camera positioning and lightning is weird, along with no photoshopping effects.

I don’t have photoshop. Any recommendations for other photo editors?

Photopea is a alternative free for photoshop. It’s a website photoshop and it almost has the sameness feature as Adobe Photoshop.

This is a good start and but the light is pretty random and there is not enough light in the background of the first one. the images are Pixelated, this is most noticeable through the shadows and edges of furniture. I think that this needs more practice but is a very good start.
