Do you think my game can do well?

Hello guys, do you think my game Tower of Challenge can do well (like sustain consistent amount of concurrent players) Recently I’ve made a post for feedback on my game, and I got some positive feedback. So I was wondering if my game can actually do well…

Generally, your game could use a lot of improvement, but I think the whole parkour tower genre has not been as popular lately (ignoring Tower of Hell itself).

To higher the quality of the game, there are a lot of things you need to change.

First of all, coding a system where the stages change each time you play the game instead of just making multiple towers would help a lot. It might be hard to code but there’s not much actual gameplay, and I assume most people will beat the towers and just stop playing.

Secondly, the game uses a lot of free models. It’s alright to use a few, and to modify them, but the entire lobby section is just a collection of mismatched leaderboards and donation boards.

Finally, the parkour itself is mot very well made. Many parts don’t match the color of the floor they’re on (wether that be slightly off or entirely different), loads of parts clip through each other weirdly, and a lot of the parkour is uneven in terms of part size, spacing and other aspects. And, as far as I can see, very little floors use parts with special properties (such as moving, spinning or on a rope)

If the game was heavily improved and all these issues were fixed, then I think it would have some potential.

I’m pretty sure people would choose tower of hell over this because it’s pretty much the same game but better. It needs to be a bit more original. For example you can do something like pushing people off, starting at top of the tower and going down, having fall damage…

I only used 2 free models, the time leaderboard and the donation leaderboard.

I think the genre of Tower Parkour games has died, meaning that even if you game was 5x better than it is currently, it still wouldn’t be very successful. I think the main problem is not the fact that the game is lacking quality (although it could certainly improve), it’s that the demand for games like this is just gone

I encountered a bug with light it’s very strange …

And to answer the question I will be honest, no !
Why ? For first the game has litterally no features, when I say no features cause there’s no originality, Tower of Hell already exist I don’t really see the point of copying it !
I would say that you need to get another idea, and like @BigBoyer007 said it would be cool if people could interact between them like help or push each other, so if you want to make a parkour type game I recommend to make stages with themes like a pyramid, a jungle, a city …
Keep up the great work !!!
I hope that was helpful and have a nice day !

I am sorry, but your obby making (and building in general) need A WHOLE LOT of improvement. 2x4 blocks are spammed in every section of the tower, the routing of the tower makes it look empty, some colored blocks go on to the zones they shouldn’t, A LOT of copy pasting and NO variety in certain sections. I don’t think people are going to like playing this obby because this is literally just a dollar store version of Tower Of Hell. You also credited yourself as making all of the models when you CLEARLY used a free model donations board.
Overall, I don’t think you should be focusing on trying to make a “successful game”. Focus more on your building and scripting skills so you don’t have to depend on free models.

im a noob developer my only creation are 3 restaurants in RT2, but I can advise you to try to apply a theme to it (fantasy, horror) with something like different monster chasing players or the tower turns upside down once someone complete it. About the free models you can edit them to fit the theme, there is nothing wrong with using them. Always try to make something different and original specially if you are making an obby game. Keep learning and testing and never give up.

YOU can definitely try to improve this game by adding more complex obby stages, such as wall-hop, glitching etc. In my opinion the game looks too easy for me. You can also change the design in your time leaderboard because some people might recognize it (as it is a kinda popular item in the toolbox) You can also try to make the lobby more interesting (add more decorations etc.).
