Hey everyone, I currently have a game in closed alpha, that I’ve been working on for a very long time. I have made a few posts about it asking for feedback, and I also have a team of testers who have helped me over the months to find bugs and provide feedback on the game.
I’ve been considering releasing the game for public playing recently, and I am just wondering if it is ready for release. I’d love some opinions from you people on the devForum, if you don’t mind! I would greatly appreciate it
Please give me constructive feedback, and give your honest opinions and critiques. I work hard to bring a fun experience to players, and I need quality feedback to deliver this, so please don’t be afraid to give your unadulterated views. I’ll hopefully be in game to help fill a server for playing, as it requires 3 people to start a round. I have asked a few testers to play the game so the servers should have people playing for you to check it out, if you can’t find anyone else.
I believe you should do what you think is best for your game. what do you believe needs work? whatever you think needs word you should work on before you release.
Personally, I feel like it is ready for public release. The perfectionist in me tells me that it isn’t ready, but that is because I have so many things yet to be done with the game, but these features may take months. It’s at a playable state and people are telling me it is really fun, and I think it has enough content to be ready for a release. I just wanted some unbiased opinions from people with a fresh outlook, who can judge it as a game, and not as a project I’ve been working on for months, like my testers may see it as.
Honestly here are some things which you have to keep in mind:
Try and have a working save system, and make sure your save system has a security protocall making it so that if data does not load it does not save.
Also make sure that the timing is great, and that it has nothing to do with the surroundings.
Also make sure that there is a quality map, and make sure there is something that will let people know how to play.
And if you want to get people to submit maps, you should write some rules on how you want your maps to be.
Your game is more than ready to be released. Its ready to hit the front page of roblox. I know you will have well known/popular youtubers known as flamingo/gamingwithkev/funneh/tofuu play your game. I seek the best future for your game release. You being a solo developer of this game is what blew the shoes off of my feet. This is so far one of the best games I’ve ever seen and ever played. 100/10
Thank you! I get mixed opinions on the GUI, some think it’s great, others want it redone. What do you think could be improved with it? And customisation is planned for the future, I have a lot of plans for it, and I’m excited to implement it in the future! However, do you think it is a necessity before public release?
The game was good, and it reminded me of bear, a really great horror game, it would be even better if there were more varied types of challenges people would have to complete to escape, also make sure that your game cannot be won, if the virus is camping by a puzzle, then there should be something discouraging him from do, adding a machanic, letting people kill the virus is fine. Also you should replace the join queue button with a button to join the next round, cause the join queue does a good job at keeping AFK players from joining the game, but with a join next round, people will not have to press the join queue button, but will instantly be teleported to the next game.
