Do you think this will make a good vibe game?

What I’m thinking of is an island vibe game where players can explore various towns and scenic points. IDK if this is a good idea or not. Here’s a link to the current map, any feedback or suggestions is helpful.

I mean, I don’t know when and why this vibing games trend started (apart from the community source), I do know all of them share these two things in common (usually):

-Soft and vaporwavey atmosphere (purple/blue like lights etc…)

-Chill background music or SFX

Can I ask what is driving you to make one? I’m curious and I’m trying to understand the reason many people are deciding to make a vibe place.

Majority of developers from what I have seen, since I am indeed involved with the trend myself, and have played various Vibe games over the course of 2020, all make Vibe games for quick cash. It’s hard to join a Vibe game without seeing a product purchase GUI, or some fun area that would be good to be open for the whole server to enjoy, locked behind a 300+ robux barrier. Just like other trends, it’s seen as a good way to make money.

On topic: An island isn’t something I’ve seen much of, but there is indeed a few Island Vibe games that exist. Not sure if they are popular exactly, but it seems like a good idea IMO.

I honestly think that’s fine as long as there is a reason to make quick cash, smaller things usually lead to greater things.

IMO, it’s okay to make money of a game, but if you’re shoving GUI prompts or annoying parts that say buy me around spawn or various other parts of the map, it can get a bit excessive. Vibe bus is a great example of this happening with a Vibe like game. Anyways, the island idea seems good none the less, and I hope OP makes it good

I don’t really know either lol. All I know about vibe games is they have animations and nice scenery and people just play it. So I was like, “yeah, I can do that”. XD

Not gonna lie, there’s not much to do except use a free model car. I wouldn’t really want to play it.

The car’s for testing, what’s in the game is very obviously not near the final product.

What feature of the game do you expect us to judge it on, then?

If you read my post, you would know I’m asking for an opinion on the overall concept of an island vibe game. Any suggestions on what I could add, overall opinion on terrain design, etc.

The terrain design is nice, but I don’t think it really works for a vibe game. It feels a bit too treacherous for a relaxing genre such as that - it would be more fit for an adventure game. I’d advise going for a more tropical setting: a flat desert island with lots of palm trees, perhaps.

I like the idea. The music in your game fits perfectly. I think you have work to do, but I wouldn’t go for the car. You agree with me if you heard the sound the car makes, it isn’t really relaxing. Adding trees would make the game much better!

I wish you good luck with making the game A3R0SPACE!
