I have this recurring problem on my internet where I can be playing ROBLOX with a normal ping but suddenly everyone freezes although I’m able to walk around and still do whatever without ever disconnecting. Sometimes if I’m using spatial, users all around me will freeze but I can still hear their voices and talk to them.
I’m not sure how to fix this. My internet isn’t dropping out as I can be in calls and still be freezing on ROBLOX. I’ve attached a clip of what happens and I’d really appreciate if anyone can help me fix this. It doesn’t happen on other connections. My user stays connected to the game after I close the window too.
Have you tried playing through an Ethernet cable or using another network?
It’s most likely a network issue. Other applications still connecting doesn’t mean much, as they might just take up the bandwidth the Roblox game would need.
Unfortunately, I don’t have access to ethernet in my part of the house. Tried making a new connection on the same router with 5ghz but that didn’t change anything either.
Might try. Weirdly though if it happens, it doesn’t effect anything else that I’m on such as Discord. Sometimes spatial chat on the experience itself keeps going.
I’ve been experiencing this for months, if not years. I know it’s not a network issue on my side, since I’m always connected to discord calls and I don’t ever disconnect from them, it also doesn’t happen when playing other online games. This recurring issue likely doesn’t affect a lot of players, and the few that do probably don’t mind. The problem is that some games punish you for leaving during certain instances, and it becomes extremely frustrating after some time.
