Does lighting technology change with graphics level?

So in my game Future lighting looks insanely good, so I want it to be enabled as default. But I also want the game to be accessible on low end hardware. I know that on such graphics level automatically changes to low, but does lighting technology also change to shadow map or voxel with lo graphics level?

Nope it just stops some effect like shadows and kind of streaming

From what I’ve observed, yes.

On PC, with Future enabled:
1-2 are most similar to Compatability
3-4 are most similar to ShadowMap
5-6 use Future at close range and ShadowMap long distances
7-9 are most similar to Future
10 is pure Future

On mobile, Future lighting does not show up. It caps out at ShadowMap.

I might have remembered something wrong, but this should be accurate.
