Does my game have enough features?

Hey!

So I’ve been working on a game called Wicked Waves for ~2 months, and I’m wondering if I should start working towards release or focus on new features. For a while now I have been in the habit of adding new feature after new feature because I feel like something could be improved upon.

Do I have enough features, or should I start working towards publishing?
Is there anything to improve?

Obviously there are some missing things like unfilled shop but I would do that once everything else is finished. Also some maps are unfinished/unpolished.

Please let me know anything you notice or have to say.

Features that I’m proud of:

  • All waves are (almost) fully randomly generated
  • There are different cutscenes for different amounts of people alive (some require >1 players)
  • UI animation

Hey @baseparts ,

The experience was pretty fun and I enjoyed it a lot! I did came a across some issues along the way.

There was no way to view the items in the inventory and it’s pretty annoying that when you find a valuable item but there’s no way to get rid of some other items in the inventory.

Also, the some of options in the settings and other menus didn’t seem to work. I suggest you shouldn’t add features that don’t have a function yet. It makes players confused and criticize the experience more harshly.

These are just some of my thoughts during the experience. I hope your experience goes well, and I wish you good luck! :slightly_smiling_face:

Hey! Thanks for letting me know, I’ll work on making a way to let you view the backpack

The whole settings ui is not working yet, probably should’ve included that somewhere…
