I’m sure this will come across as a stupid question, but I just needed to be sure.
Is mentioning that a game is inspired by another (much more popular/well known) game allowed?
One of the NPCs in my game states that it was inspired by Super Mario 64. The game doesn’t use any Super Mario 64 assets, nor is the logo shown anywhere. It’s simply just stated in the speech bubble text.
I believe it doesn’t, but with how Nintendo is currently handling out DMCA claims, you might get striked for it (although I think Roblox wouldn’t do anything if its mentioned once and it isn’t touching their property)
