I have seen multiple people say that unioning parts does help reduce lag within your game, but also people on the other side, who say that unioning parts does nothing. Can I get everyone’s opinion on that?

maybe it does cause hit boxes are wierder

If yours unions aren’t big models or you’re using default (or lighter collisions e.g: box, hull) they will not deal much stress, but if they are - according to roblox docs:

If you are unioning a lot of parts, then yes. If you are unioning not so many parts into something complex, then maybe not.
And collision. Sometimes precise one won`t save you…
pretty sure it’s actually quite the opposite lol, avoid unions at all costs
