Don’t know username for Right-To-Erasure Request

Alright I’ll try. But what could happen if they don’t have them. I certainly don’t have them either.

Well as long as you’re certain that you don’t have the info you should be fine. They’re the ones responsible for not telling you enough info anyways.

Can’t you change the UserID from the link on a player’s profile?

I’m pretty sure the account gets deleted too.

The user is deleted so that wouldn’t work.

Yes, it does, the page 404 and errors since the player requested their data to be deleted.
My only hope is that i can email roblox i guess.

You can also use archives or the Wayback Machine to try to visit the profile of the deleted user, it is an extremely low chance that someone saved it but you never know.

But aren’t you breaking a law by ignoring it?

That’s what i was thinking, I am extremely scared. And when I mean scared I am actually extremely extremely scared. I don’t want to get into legal trouble because i used a free model script for saving data when i was 12 years old.

There are games on Roblox where you can check a player’s information. Put in the userID and it might give you the username, since they still list the username even after the account has been deleted.

If an account has been deleted in a GDPR request, everything about the user is deleted. UserIds involved in a GDPR request would no longer be associated with an account

Players | Roblox Creator Documentation use the GetNameFromUserIdAsync function in the command bar to find their username. It should work on deleted accounts, correct me if I’m wrong.

Edit: Errors with Players:GetUserIdFromNameAsync() failed: Unknown user. OP, I recommend you contact Roblox support about this issue. Support - Roblox

This does not work on accounts that were deleted in a GDPR request

They still show the username on the game though?

No they don’t with accounts deleted on gdpr request

but they still ask you to clear data, and the freemodel script I used saved the username
and isn’t that considered PII by gdpr.

I have no way of finding out what their name is with just their userid. And it’s scary that it happened year later which means I didn’t have any preparation for it. I really don’t know what to do or if I’ll get in legal trouble, I am truly scared

Sorry, I’m clueless. No idea what a “right to erasure request” is.

Why do you need to delete the data?

GDPR law, basically the player has requested that their data be removed.

Then roblox informs us by giving us a userid

but I used a script that stored data on the username which has been deleted meaning that I can’t access and delete their data, meaning It’s stored somewhere on a datastore but I don’t know what it is called so I can’t delete it until i find out what the username associated with the userid is.

Can you share the userids? Maybe that would help.

I believe that is a violation of GDPR. Since It’s something that needs to be removed.
