As of now, if I change a part’s size from the Properties window and it will overlap another part, it will move to be on top of that other part even if collision check is off. The Position and Rotation properties used to do this also, but that was changed some time ago. Please change a part to maintain its original position when resized if collision check is off.
Yes. I was just going to suggest this, too. I can’t think of any case where this would be desired behavior.
Yes please.
I think that this is a safe change, I don’t think that anyone is relying on this behavior.
However, you probably want to solve the resizing + welds can of worms at the same time, and the solution to that isn’t so obvious (do you just break any welds, just keep them, or try to adjust them somehow?).
bump bump, bump bump bump
yes
You can already do this by making the part cancollide false and then typing it in, just remember to change collisions back on. Still this would be a helpful feature.
That’d be even more annoying than using CmdUtil to resize it. If I have collision check turned off it should disable collision checking everywhere.
This would be really useful and time saving when making more highly detailed models.

I think the welds should stay the same, and the developer should be expected to break or re-orient welds

But in other words this is rather frustrating, I’d rather the brick stay in the same spot.
Support.
This would make building so, so much easier in many cases.
I think it’s silly not to let us bump. It shows passion about an issue and allows for more developers to reach it to put their input. It’s kinda like checking on job applications.
Anyway, as I said before, I love this idea.
