Don't Place Private Games in the Friend Activity Sort

If one of your friends recently played a private game, it has a chance of showing up in the Friend Activity Sort.

  • As a player, this makes no sense. Why would I want to be recommended a game I can’t even play?

  • From a developer standpoint, this pointlessly chokes up the sort with games which can’t be entered (of which, many are going to stay private) rather than recommending playable games that developers have created. Being the second sort on the Home Page, it is imperatively critical that our experiences show up on this sort.

I’ve stated two standpoints above which both explain why this change needs to be made.

This probably makes sense if you could join your friend at their own game, but in this case, it doesn’t. So I agree. It should only show games that the player can access, or it shouldn’t show any private games altogether.
