It would be great if it could stay gone once the user explicitly rejects the popup by clicking its close button (or at least after a number of times), if this is not already planned.
EDIT: Just to be extra clear about this: my problem is that I don’t want to receive push notifications on this machine, and I unchecked the box in settings, and this message keeps popping up unless that checkbox in settings is enabled.
Um if you don’t want popups, go into settings, and dissable it?
The popup is only there if you enable the checkbox in settings, and refresh the page.
It’s chrome that needs confirmation that’s why the orange line appears.
No I just checked and this actually does enable push notifications in settings, it’s not just a browser-thing.
I found that if I enable the box in settings but untick all the options, it doesn’t show the message anymore and I won’t get push notifications, but I just think that’s not very user-friendly.
I saw this notification after logging back into ROBLOX after resetting my password. Push notifications are already enabled and I dismissed the notification. It hasn’t returned yet.
I disabled my browser’s ability to display notifications and this message pops up regardless of how many times I tell it no. I’m using the Opera browser.
An update – we actually found another bug where we prompted users too frequently. By design, we were supposed to prompt every week, two weeks, then four weeks (thinking of increasing this back-off to eight weeks). It should be fixed now/soon, so everyone should be prompted way less than before. Thanks for bringing this up!
