Doom-Inspired Movement System

Hello! I am creating a game with heavy inspiration from the DOOM and Quake games, and recently took on the challenge of creating a movement system for it.

You gain momentum from jumping, unlike bunny hopping though, it doesn’t take any skill. I will probably change that in the future

I’ll go over some of the moves.

Double Jump: Very simple, just press space twice, I also took some code from Double Jumping

Dash: Press shift on your keyboard to dash in the direction you are walking. You can dash twice before having to recharge, which only happens once you are on the ground.

Monkey Bars: Those little yellow bars that you can swing on to get a boost midair, I might incorporate some monkey bars into combat arenas.

Rocket Jumping/Weapon Boosting: Shoot at the ground, character go up. You can also string together multiple weapon boosts to get up tall places quickly. I’ll probably add areas that reward you for perfecting this skill.

really nice gun! i like it! the movement is also very arcade shooter style. i havent played doom but i like your movement.

I know im pretty late for this but, Do you still update that? Because it’s honestly incredible.

I don’t update this game anymore unfortunately, though I still work on new projects and post them here!
