Quick note: There is no actual time for me to make a game like this but if this post gets some good feedback then maybe I will work on this in my free time
Ok to the question, a door gunning game, would you think people would be interested with it?
I have been thinking about this for a while so I want to ask if people would actually play it.
The game is different to others and is played differently, here is an example:
Similar to those game you would see at arcades, the device you would use to play would be a turret that you can turn in order to aim at the enemy.
There would also be triggers on the handles that would fire the turret.
Now you might be asking “How does the turret aim around the screen and shoot?”
For shooting, the triggers would be attached to a part of the turret that would push down onto the keyboard in order to shoot in game.
For aiming, the mouse would have to be positioned in a way in order to rotate the the mouse.
This would mean that the turret is only for customization purposes and that there would be another version of the game that doesn’t run with the turret.
For making the turret, I would just use a 3d printer.
As you can see there are two big problems that come with this,
- The mouse and keyboard would have to be specific in order to attach it to the turret
- I would have to mail turrets while waiting for other turrets to print which would take forever
Other problems like the turret breaking due to faulty parts I will figure out myself
The price of the turret I have to figure too but I’m planning to keep it under 10 US dollars
For gameplay its basically what the name says, you are a door gunner that shoots the enemy below while allies on the ground advance to a certain location.
Now the main question is: Would you play a game such as this and would you purchase the turret?
- Yes, I would play the game.
- Yes I would play the game and purchase the turret
- No, the game needs improving
- I cant decide
