I want the communitys opinion on this, mostly because it’s an idea similar to an already existing game.
I’m thinking of a pressure/doors type of game, but instead of being some poor guy, you’re the monster. You’re a vampire-type monster who is contained in some kind of research facility and you must escape.
The hazards you’ll face would be security guards, and environmental hazards such as UV lights and holy symbols meant for keeping you in.
Blood will be health AND currency. You can find blood in vials or steal it from NPCs, but if you don’t kill the NPC before it sees you, it can report security to your location which will increase their spawn rates.
As I said blood is also a currency, and it can be used to purchase perks. Perks can be used to enhance your playstyle. Want to go a pacifist run and escape without a SINGLE SOUL seeing you? Get some invisibility or stealth perks. Want to go ham and kill everyone you see? Get some strength perks, however this playstyle will be high risk high reward, as you’ll be losing as much blood as you’ll gain. Perks cost blood, so it’s also risky to get perks, if you encounter an enemy and you couldn’t find enough blood, you would be in trouble.
Since this game is similar to doors in it’s “move through 100 doors with a bunch of hazards in it”, I want to see if the community thinks this might be copying, and if it’s something that people would enjoy playing.
