Dragging Parts in Studio Creates Rapid Memory Leaks

When you select a bunch of parts and drag them around, you can see Roblox studio rapidly generate memory leaks.

This can be verified with Task Manager and quite a number of times my PC hit 99% memory usage before Roblox Studio completely crashed and shut itself without any warning. In fact it also killed other applications on my PC like discord, chrome/edge, and various others because my entire PC’s RAM (64GB) was depleted after using studio long enough.

Simple Reproduction

  1. Open a baseplate
  2. Duplicate a ton of parts
  3. Drag them around
  4. Observe the memory usage in task manager

I removed and disabled all plugins, restarted my computer, opened studio, and got the same bug.

I uninstalled roblox, deleted the AppData folder, made sure beta features are off, and got the same bug.

Moving a selected or recently selected object leaks memory.
