This update is the bomb
The Dread 1.16 update is here! This update includes utilities and a lot of bug fixes.
Happy 4th of July to all of you celebrating it, I hope this update fits the release date perfectly!
Here’s what’s new:
-
UTILITIES ARE HERE!!!
- Use them in countless ways against your enemies!
- Has 3 slots in your loadout!
- Most utilities are one-time use only. Permanent ones will have a note above the purchase button
-
New utility: Grenade
- Based on the real life M67 grenade made in the USA
- Pull the pin, throw it and watch it explode!
- Great for clearing out large areas when running away
- Costs 75 D$ (not a one time purchase) and does 100 damage. Check it out, i’d say it’s worth it
-
Spawn system improved
- Spawning above the map shouldn’t be a thing anymore
- Previously, the “spawn on top of the map” bug was caused by the Roblox spawn system
-
New explosion system added
- More robust and faster than before
- Getting hit through walls is not a thing anymore. Epic gamer moment indeed
- Hit “misses” shouldn’t occur at all now
- Default explosion sound changed to fit the RPG-7 and grenade more
-
RPG-7 Stats changed
- Explosion size/range increased: 16 → 18
- Explosion damage falloff added (This is the reason why the explosion size was increased)
-
RPG-7/Rocket hitboxes improved yet again
- In 1.15, only hit check frequency was increased. This time, hit detection is improved
- Shooting directly at zombies should work now
- M4 Carbine description changed
-
Spawn handler code rewritten from scratch
- Should work faster now I guess
- Mostly benefits me in a way where I can develop Dread features faster now
- Fixed a bug where the healthbar would show decimal digits
- Improved Dead Lands grass performance
- Bulletholes shouldn’t be glossy under light anymore
- First person arms don’t cast shadows anymore
- Fixed various first person arm bugs
- Fixed a bug for Xbox where shooting and aiming down sights wouldn’t work
