This update has taken a long time to create, but it is definitely awesome and worth the wait. The update includes a new M4 & M16A1 model and animation, a ton of new fun stuff for private server owners (such as Community maps and Sandbox mode), insane map, weapon, zombie and armor rebalances, major UI changes, a ton of bug fixes and quality of life improvements and much, much more! Enjoy and have lots of fun!
What’s new in 1.76?
- The M4 Carbine and M16A1 have received brand new models and animations by @mattgrant, as well as new sounds!
-
Owners of private servers now get a ton of new features to play with!
- There’s now an allowlist, as well as a ban list for you to choose which players you’d explicitly like on the server, as well as people who you’d want off of your server.
- There’s now a slider for changing the intermission length in the private server settings.
- Added in a brand new private server feature - Sandbox mode!
- A mode that you can turn on and off as you wish
- For the first time ever in Dread, you get to change the gameplay however you’d wish to!
- Introducing… the Sandbox Console - Allows you to give any weapon, utility or Roblox gear to anyone, revive them or godmode them on command, respawn them, spawn ai zombies, set the next gamemode and map, skip gamemodes and much much more!
- You also get to enable infinite ammo and spare ammo, disable the ANTI anti cheat, fall damage, force weapon loadouts on players, select which maps are enabled and disabled in the map pool, as well as which gamemodes are in the gamemode pool.
- Tired of the same old Dread maps or just want something that exactly suits your needs? There’s now a Community Maps section that allows you to add in community maps published by other players into your private server! Maps from the community maps pool also follow much less strict guidelines on what is allowed in a Dread map.
- What’s the catch? Couldn’t this be used maliciously? Yeah, therefore any form of game progression (such as earning D$ and XP) will be disabled when Sandbox mode is enabled, as well as the server shutting down if you enable sandbox mode and choose to disable it.
- Players will get notified when they’re playing on a Sandbox mode server
- Oh, and the server settings screen has been completely reworked now.
- Last Resort has received balancing and lighting improvements thanks to @Keiruno and @xbeautiamyx!
- Atomna Core has received a brand new vent system and more balancing improvements thanks to @xbeautiamyx!
- Pay-Town has received more vehicles and details thanks to @mattgrant!
- Added in a brand new rank-up screen
- As opposed to the previous rank-up screen that pops up mid-game, this one waits until the intermission begins and shows up only then.
- Added in a brand new super special animation when ranking up to Titanium Elite (Rank 50)
- When out of ammo, the game now shows a pointer to all the ammo boxes where you can refill your weapon (can be disabled in settings)
- Remade the Hotbar and the Ammo indicator to be much more stylish and fit better with the rest of Dread UI.
- The Hotbar now has a new “Auto-hide hotbar” setting that does as it says.
- No longer will items on the hotbar go over the ammo or health indicators.
- Added in a few Visual settings:
- Toggle that allows you to turn light shadows on or off inside of maps (could help with performance in light heavy maps)
- Toggle that allows you to turn off textures from materials (helps in extreme performance cases only)
- Toggle that shows/hides the in-game UI depending on the setting, allowing for more cinematic game clips.
- Players are now presented with a Loading Screen that ensures all of the assets are loaded in before joining the game.
- Added a way to easily see if a weapon slows you down when equipped under “Slowdown” in the weapon info in loadout
-
