Drifiting Simulator Game Idea

So, as an aspiring developer I have seen that simulators have been quite popular in the past few years, so I had an idea of making a Simulator called, “Drifiting Simulator.”

The idea of the game would be quite obvious you drift to get more experience etc. Like most simulators have ranks this game would to. Lowest rank being Drifting Beginer and the highest being Drift King/Queen.

I just wanted to know how everyone thought of this game and bring about feedback towards this idea. If this becomes a reality, for sure I will post about the hiring of personnel and staff.

There are already multiple games such as that and I think there already is like 2 of them. If you want to do this you must make it unique.

To be honest I would not play the game. You just drift? That’s it? I feel like that would get boring quickly.

Little kids might like it though, the younger population likes monotonous games for some reason.

I wouldn’t really recommend this idea if you’re thinking Roblox type of simulator game, due to core loop would stay same as forever. Player progression would be very minimal(counting on rank/level and car changes) but maybe with adding some sort of skill set to do different type of drift moves(reverse drift entry, 360 entry etc.) could be a good move. Another option for gameplay is making drifting a bit harder to let users earn their skills by practicing. I would advise you to think throughly about this idea and prototype maybe.

It’s a little too bland. There’s tons of drifting/driving simulators out there. You need to find something to make your game stand out from the rest of them. Why should people play your game if there’s tons of super popular games just like yours? Maybe even better? You’ve got to make something stand out. Something that no other games have.

I don’t like the game idea, it’s not going to catch on. If it was a simulator where you do tricks on a motorbike or a snowboard then I would have a different opinion.

Yes that is an idea to add in. It would not solely be just drifting there will be different aspects towards the game like you suggested. As you progress different skill sets would be unlocked etc, then you will be able to many more various different types of skills. I do not want it ending up being a vehicle simualtor duplicate, you will be able to move onto different country drift zones as well. E.g Tokyo.
