By joining a group you can gain a plethora of new activities and events to enact alongside the group you are in, from City Defense to gangs.
You can become a Citizen of Dunwall by reaching the level 10 and joining the Dunwall group, this allows you access past the first gate of light while deeming you an actual citizen of Dunwall.

- Doing Contracts (Found in the bar of Dunwall)
- Daily Reward (Gained every 24 hours)
- Searching in trash. Search in the trash for items and sell them to a mysterious person.
- Giveaways (Found in the discord of Dunwall)
However in coming times you’ll be able to do gang warfares for gaining territory or working to gain coins, allowing you to gain cash without having to be patient.
There are two ways to gain levels in Dunwall, and that’s by killing players or doing contracts. However, some players can yield a higher experience reward then others, City Defense giving the highest experience whereas normal players give the least.

The Elixir Shop
Found directly down the street, the Elixir shop gives the player access to two elixirs; the Health and Mana elixir.
Found right to the left of the Elixir shop is a small bar. Inside of the bar is another room connected to it, inside of this room is a contract giver who will give you contracts against City Defense.
The Illegal Weapons Store
The final notable location, which is to the left of the Bar hoisted on a balcony, is the illegal weapons store. In here you can buy three different weapons, the Sabre, Flintlock and Grenade.
City Defense involves three different groups all oriented in some way towards the betterment of Dunwall.
City Watch is tasked with protecting the city, the gates of light, and it’s law. Joining City Watch is done by joining a common tryout. As a member of City Watch you are given the Sabre and Flintlock to further defend.
Abbey of the Everyman is tasked with hunting down mark-bearers (Players with the Mark of the Outsider) and law-breakers. Joining Abbey of the Everyman is done by joining a more uncommon tryout. As a member of Abbey of the Everyman you are given the Overseer’s Music Box, Sabre, Grenade and Flintlock to hunt down the heretics.
Grand Guard is tasked with guarding people of importance, most notably Lord Regent or high ranking City Defense officials. Joining Grand Guard is done by joining an uncommon tryout. As a member of Grand Guard you are given the Sabre and Flintlock to defend your high priority peoples.
Currently there is only four notable gangs in the city of Dunwall, they are;
These gangs can be freely joined and all give you a special sword called the Meat Cleaver. Gangs can also be put into territorial warfare, as mentioned in monetary gain, for taking control of territories to gain cash. Currently Bottle Street Gang is the most active while Dead Eels Gang is the most populated.
The Whalers is a group of supernatural assassins equipped with their own sabres and a special item known as Chokedust, they are also equipped with the Mark of the Outsider, allowing them abilities such as Blink, allowing you to teleport, Dark Vision, allowing you to see players through walls, and Wind Blast, allowing you blow players away with wind. Joining the Whalers is very difficult as it requires a rare and very difficult tryout, The Whalers are the strictest group throughout Dunwall, but one of the strongest.
