When a player is in a team, in the leaderboard that player is shown in the team and outside of the whole leaderboard. That problem only seems to affect mobile and console, not tablets and desktops.

That’s not a bug… on Mobile it will always show your player information first as it may be further down the list which is an issue due to the smaller mobile screen sizes, this is similar to the 2013-2014 ROBLOX player list
Console ROBLOX has its leaderboard hidden by default and in console situations, you usually are glancing at the leaderboard to see your stats, scrolling would be an inconvenience, just like mobile, so the same thing happens.
Tablet and PC ROBLOX don’t have this issue as they share the same leaderboard which is constantly visible, tablets and PCs tend to have screen resolutions above 1024x768 so scrolling isn’t really needed in the majority of cases to view the whole player list.
