Dutch Translator - English/French

Hello there!

Who am I?

My name is Nathan, 16 years old and living in Flanders, Belgium :belgium:. I’ve been on the Roblox platform since 2016, and now I think it’s time to use my talent in languages to give other developers the opportunity to offer their game in Dutch as well.
At the moment I am a high school student, studying French, English, German and Latin.
I used to be brought up trilingual (Dutch, French and English) and have therefore built up a large vocabulary over the years.
I’ve been doing translations from English to Dutch and from French to Dutch for 2 years already, but that was on other freelancing platforms. Since the demand for translations on these platforms isn’t too high, I decided to go to the Roblox platform and start with translating experiences.

Why Dutch?

At the moment there are more than 24 million people who speak Dutch, most of them living in Belgium or the Netherlands. Only a few games / experiences on Roblox are currently translated into Dutch, and yet the Dutch community on Roblox is quite big. Developers have already noticed in several games that they get significantly more visits if their game is translated into Dutch.

Availability

I am available to contact the whole day, but the work itself can be done in the evening (if the size is not too big) or on weekends. If you contact me during the weekend, chances are that I will respond immediately, on weekdays it can sometimes take up to 5 hours.

Payment

Prices are negotiable, but maybe some of you who are interested need a target price to deal with. I normally ask 5-7 R$ per sentence, depending on how much stuff there needs to be translated. (the more sentences, the lower the price per sentence) You can also pay me via PayPal if you want to.

Credits

I can also give you a small discount if you credit me in your game or on the game page.

  • Game description credits → 5% off
  • In-game credits → 5% off
If you do both of them, you will get a 10% discount
