DWM.exe uses 70%+ GPU when Roblox runs

Every time I try to play a Roblox game, Desktop Window Manager spikes in GPU usage. These effects are constant in every game even on graphics level 1. I tried installing Bloxstrap to see if this fixed the issue, but it is still apparent.
My computer specifications:

Processor 11th Gen Intel(R) Core™ i7-1165G7 @ 2.80GHz 2.80 GHz
Installed RAM 16.0 GB (15.7 GB usable)
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

This isn’t necessarily an issue. Task Manager isn’t a great tool when it comes to accurate measurements, I just use it to get an idea of what my system is doing.
You don’t mention whether it causes performance issues. If not, it probably isn’t that much to care about.
This might also be an issue on Microsoft’s end. You mention you installed Bloxstrap, can you see if switching to a different renderer affects how much GPU the DWM uses? Perhaps it’s to do with DirectX.

This does cause performance issues. My entire computer and roblox basically slows down. I also noticed that this issue happens randomly. When I load into a game it runs great, but randomly the GPU starts spiking again. I tried to change some settings with bloxstrap like lowering the quality, but it still does nothing.

I’m doing some googling since the only options in Bloxstrap right now are Direct3D, and the DWM definitely seems to be linked to that (though I assume it would be linked to any renderer based off this page I’m looking at).
Are you running your game in windowed or fullscreen (F11)? Does switching between windowed and fullscreen affect DWM?

Switching between windowed and fullscreen does not seem to affect it, and I don’t think it would be some virus since it ONLY happens when I run roblox. Unless the virus is specifically targeting roblox for some reason (I didn’t download any “executors”)

This only started happening recently too, and I tried to uninstall Bloxstrap and try that but there was no difference. I don’t want to reset my pc just because roblox isn’t working. There’s no way this isn’t a roblox issue, it’s wayyy too specific.

The solution was outdated drivers…?
