Dynamic game development schedule made with Google Sheets

Dynamic Game Schedule

Make a copy! (Link to schedule)

I made this dynamic game assignment schedule for personal use, but as it grew more sophisticated, I decided to open-source it.

Notable features:

  • Can predict the completion date of your game
  • Provides motivation for faster development
  • Visual deadline coloring
  • Dynamic (automatic) due date calculation
  • Automatic shading for completed tasks
  • Task reordering by dragging a row
  • Days allotted for a task field

Information card on the document:

Reply here or DM me any issues. Usually, if you mess something up, it’s a good idea to create a new fresh copy and copy in your old task names and days allotted. If you require usage support, I’m right here :)

Nice resource!

One of the biggest challenges that I’ve seen developers struggle with is managing all the tasks that come with game development (many of which are the small but critical ones). While everyone is sure to have their own style of organization that works best for them and their team, this looks like a very nicely polished asset, foundation, or inspiration that can do a lot for helping people get at this the right way off the bat.
