You cannot use your webcam to animate a Dynamic Face when in Studio. Clicking the camera button will briefly toggle it on (without results) before shutting itself back off with a “Motion Tracking Off” message.
Studio is a different application than Roblox so needs to be granted OS permissions to use the camera independently. The first time this comes up you should get a permission check. You can also look at Privacy & Security → Camera and make sure RobloxStudio is granted the permission under the list of applications. (You’ll need to restart Studio to take effect). If you have permissions granted, then likely something else is going on and we’ll need to see a log.
Just a note that depending on your install history, you might have to grant permissions again. There should be a visible warning if permissions aren’t correct - that’s also a bug if you’re not seeing anything.
Hi, apologies for the late reply - I was out of the country.
Currently on Sequoia 15.4.1 on an M1 Ultra Mac Studio. I’ve checked my permission settings and Camera Access was already toggled true. I’ve created a log and sent it to you privately. Thank you!
Side note about the log help page, I wasn’t sure where to post this:
On Mac, the page should note that the user will need to open their User file and click “Show View Options”, then click “Show Library Folder”. It will be hidden otherwise. I had to ask a niche discord for help after I couldn’t find my logs.
