Dynamic Heads Incorrectly Removed After Recent Visibility Enforcement Announcement Despite Meeting All Requirements

Issue Description:

Roblox recently announced that it would begin removing head bundles that violate visibility rules and that enforcement would take effect immediately. However, this has resulted in fully compliant items being incorrectly deleted from my Creator Hub, which is extremely frustrating, as these items clearly follow the rules and should not have been removed.

The following bundle IDs were removed, even though every single one of them complies with the visibility requirements. Each covers more than 50% of the bounding box from the front, side, and back views, and exceeds 0.5 studs on the X, Y, and Z axes:

Bundle IDs:

  • 204844480804001
  • 28641119843401
  • 85861220391863
  • 138141931429945

These removals pose a risk for head creators, as compliant items should not be removed from the marketplace under any circumstances. This implies that the automated enforcement tool is malfunctioning.

To provide visual evidence, I imported the meshes into Blender. I will demonstrate that they clearly meet the 50% visibility requirement, especially from the side view, which seems to be the primary cause of these false removals:

Bundle ID 204844480804001:

Bundle ID 85861220391863:

I fully understand and support Roblox’s intention to remove violative or misleading bundles from the platform. However, these items should not have been affected, as they follow every single Avatar Specification rule without exception.

I also believe I am not the only creator experiencing this issue, as many other dynamic heads appear to be falsely deleted as well. I hope Roblox reviews and adjusts the automated moderation system, as the current behavior indicates that it may not be functioning correctly.

Expected behavior

Dynamic head bundles that fully comply with Roblox’s visibility and avatar specification rules should remain published and should not be automatically removed by the enforcement system.

Sorry bro but these “half heads” are prime examples of the partially invisible heads that they were aiming to remove.

No, you’re wrong, because according to the Marketplace Policy these are still within the rules and follow the requirements specified in the avatar specifications. To explain for those who don’t know: at https://create.roblox.com/docs/art/characters/specifications the following rules apply:

“The head part must take up at least 50% of the mesh’s bounding box.” https://create.roblox.com/docs/art/characters/specifications#visibility

And the head must occupy at least 0.5 stud size on the X (width), Y (height), and Z (depth) axes: https://create.roblox.com/docs/art/characters/specifications#body-scale.

As I explained visually in the main post, my heads follow these rules step by step, so they should not be removed. What they were trying to remove here were the ones that did not comply.

We are actively communicating with Roblox Customer Support and taking the necessary steps to resolve the issue, but the main concern here is that Roblox is treating all of these by instantly flagging them as violations – i.e., an automation error – and that this needs to be fixed.

Hi Yakuz,

Thank you for your report!

While you are correct in that half-heads can achieve the required 50% coverage, half-heads are considered non-compliant due to their attempt to create invisible or non-rendering parts. Please see the Body Parts requirements section of the Marketplace policy.

Closing this out as Won’t Fix, as this is not a bug.

Best,

Those requirements are now outdated. It just needs to be updated.

Hello, so I am putting as much effort as possible into understanding you, and for that, I read the entire Marketplace Policy carefully, word for word. I also read all the linked sub-articles, and there is no clause that justifies removing these as long as I meet the technical specifications. The only thing is in the General Creation Guidelines, where it says “Do not create items that depend on issues or glitches on the Roblox platform.” But my bundles do not depend on issues or glitches, as they pass validation, are within the allowed size, and do not bypass anything.

Again, these technically meet the expectations you require from creators, so they are neither invisible nor non-rendering. Your policies state “Avatars must adhere to the appropriate size requirements and cannot have any invisible or non-rendering body parts,” and this does not apply to mine.

But I got your general message, it simply does not align with the current policies being enforced. So, I will enter a dispute process with Roblox as soon as possible, and this reply, along with your reply and the details you provided, will also be included, because this whole situation seems ridiculous to me. We get punished like this even though we follow the rules you all put in place, and I hope we reach an appropriate resolution with Roblox’s lawyers through the MIDR process.

What’s the point of dynamic head requirements if you can just judge everything as a half head, what separates normal heads that have 50% coverage to 50% coverage half heads?

They are not only removing half heads; they are also removing other meshes, such as star and heart shapes:

Roblox wants to delete all head shapes and instead fill the Dynamic Head category with low-quality items where a face image ID is simply slapped onto the default head mesh, which is supposed to be uploaded as a face accessory. Almost none of those even follow the rules at all. I wonder when rule enforcement will happen for them.

https://create.roblox.com/docs/marketplace/marketplace-policy#accessories-and-clothing

“Heads can include hair, eyelashes, and eyebrows, but these must also be separate items.”

All bundles where eyelashes and eyebrows are attached directly to the head, without being separated as accessories, violate this rule. Yet Roblox wants the Dynamic Head sector to evolve into a place where you can strictly only upload 2D faces, which directly goes against their own Marketplace Policy. This is the level of hypocrisy we are at.
