Dynamic Skies Are Getting Cloudy

How are people supposed to see it as a joke?

They said the same thing about video frames

Because obviously it’s gonna come out you think they would just give up on something like this with the amount of attention it’s getting?

Hmm mine are flat some how…

Turn up your graphics quality to see the depth of the clouds.

8 Months, still waiting… must take a whole year for 1 phase.

Imagine phase 2 & 3, but yeah I agree w you. I’m pretty sure they’re trying to fix the bugs, but it really shouldn’t be talking almost a year to fix them.

Well when i try implement volumetric cloud on unity it don’t really work even when i use sebastian’s code so it’ll be hard for an engine as roblox.I may think they’ll use fake volumetric cloud that’s more efficient.

Can’t wait for the cold, rainy atmospheres that some games will implement :yum:

People have suspected that they’ve quietly stopped working on them. For now at least.

I’m going to hope that Roblox is still working on it. Dynamic skies is a HUGE feature once phase 1c releases - tons you do with it. Lets hope we get some sort of update soon.

Then the dynamic skies update, or whatever would be useless if they stopped working on it. They created so much hype just to cancel this? Wonderful job, Roblox.

(Note that I know they’re still working on it now. I don’t want any drama happening so just move on from this reply, Thank you).

This is typical of Roblox.

They didn’t release any notices about FIB3 between July and October 2020, for 3 months straight.

Then, look at the EnvMaps topic. Do you think they’re still working on that too?

And then Roblox ended up releasing it - probs optimizing it rn as we speak.

Most likely.

U can’t just say they are not working on a feature because there is no update to it yet. There is something called patience - learn it.

It’s actually difficult to add volumetric clouds to the engine. It takes time. If anything I’d expect an update on this some point August.

this looks really good, can’t wait to use it!
i’ve also got a bug report:
the clouds behave very strangely if you decide to go above them

It’s not canceled, just postponed. They should be working on this again once they’re done with the whole New Textures and EnvMaps situation.

You’re not meant to interact with them yet, hence why they “run away” from you, that will come at a later phase.

The clouds aren’t canceled, they are just to be made

Insert this to your cmd bar in roblox studio —> Instance.new(“Clouds”, game.Lighting)

I… just said that?

Also you could just R-click on Lighting>Insert Object>Environment>Clouds

I didn’t know that about this thing
