As a Roblox developer, it is currently too hard to see the data collected on me.
Right now, the only way to export this data is though a support ticket, and those are no good. I submitted a request from my verified email, and was told to email them back from “p3t.....@gmail.com”. I don’t remember ever having an email which began with p3t. If I did, it was way back when I made my account. This issue is more widespread, as a couple other of my friends can confirm that it has happened to them.
Under multiple laws (CA rights, GDPR, etc), Roblox is required to give us an export of all of our data by request, but making it a huge pain isn’t fair to anybody involved. It wastes support resources and makes the end user angry.
The solution: just add a button. There’s no harm in letting us export our data like every other website. Nobody else makes you go through their broken support tool, there’s just a button, like this:
My guess as to why this is happening is to avoid having to hand it over due to the size of it (the amount of telemetry/logging roblox does is crazy), but this isn’t fair. We deserve an easy way to see this data.
