Editing CanCollide property on part deletes it / makes it unselectable

For some reason sometimes whenver I try to turn on CanCollide and CanTouch it makes it to where I cannot select the part. I have to delete the part and click undo for me to be able to select it again. Also, when I turn on Collisions for both parts and on the ribbon area they do not collide with each other. Basically, collisions are screwed up for me.

Sometimes instead of not colliding at all, when I use the move tool to move one part against another, even with collisons on and enabled, the part will clip through the other part and collide with it in a random point inside the part. I can’t find a fix and I’ve restarted and reinstalled studio.

Update: I can use the drag tool to select things but can’t click on it. If I delete it via explorer and hit undo I can select it again. Also, turning off the new explorer fixes it, so I think the new explorer that I hate is causing it

Yep! I think you should be able to attach a private message for just Roblox employees to the bug report. If that doesnt work then feel free to just dm it to me.

Turn on new explorer in beta features, turn on collisions in ribbon and turn off CanCollide and CanTouch for all your parts. Then turn CanCollide back on by selecting all the parts and one or more will not be able to be selected.

You can still select it via drag tool but you cannot click on it

I just recreated it without the new explorer @ryar0031

idk why you cant see the explorer and stuff but i mess with the cantouch and cancollide properties by turning them both off and im not able to click on it just drag on it to select it as you can see im clicking through the noob model which has no humanoid btw and it clicks on the parts behind it

you can kind of see where im clicking through the model instead of on the model but im able to drag to select it and deleting the model via explorer and hitting undo usually fixes it

happens in any game restarting / reinstalling studio doesn’t work

I cannot reproduce using the linked file.

Could you try to make a smaller repro, with specific Instances to try this on?

I haven’t had this issue in months so it was probably a bug that resolved on its own
