Educational game with guild competitions

Hey everyone, my team is currently revamping our educational game as the retention rates are less than ideal: link. We want to get as much feedback from the community as early as possible before we start revamping it.

Concept
Grow your knowledge and bring your guild to become the smartest guild of Ottoworld

Player Type
Achievers (primary player type), Socialisers (secondary player type)

How it works

  1. Players will form guilds and participate in minigames to earn points for their guilds
  2. Minigames are educational and integrates with school content
  3. Participate in weekly tournaments to earn more points for their guilds
  4. Compete in the season finale to become the best guild of the season

Here are some questions I hope I can get your inputs on:

  1. Will this type of game appeal to the roblox player community?
  2. What are some potential pitfalls/breaking points of this game?
  3. What are some challenges that you forsee in creating this game?
  4. Any other thoughts you might have too!

  1. Yes, it is an easy and intuitive system for young ages.
  2. There are two I can directly see.
    1. Players may be more focused on completing the game rather than learning.
    2. Players may be unable to understand the guilds system, or may be difficult to find/join guilds. A system to view currently existing guilds, and a system to quickly and easily create them is necessary.
  3. It will be difficult to track each guild and group activities.
  4. Your game shows GUI elements that provide education. Retention is not great when displaying raw text sometimes. I suggest prioritizing elements that provide easy to learn details, sometimes a simple text popup can do it, but other methods may perform better.

  1. This game may appeal like to a very small percentage of kids who enjoy minigames as far as I had come crossed.

  • Learn from Epic minigames, no need to teleport a player to a different server when you can have them ingame and you get teleported back to hub then have to join back. Players hate when they have to manually teleport when scripts can automatically do it.
  • Maybe add more minigames to your game because players are doing to same thing over.
  1. A challenge I have seen is probably same as @RaterixRGL

  2. Make it for enjoyable like adding more minigames
