Educational science game?

Hey, I’m thinking about making an educational science game. Basically what would happen is that you have to use chemistry and physics and biology to level up and unlock more stuff such as guns and swords to fight bacteria which is crawling around the map. Of course I would make an over 13 version and under 13 version so that teens don’t have to learn basic science. (Please don’t steal my idea.) Would this be a good idea? If not why?

I think it sounds like a great concept but maybe instead of guns and swords, you acquire different abilities. I also don’t think there should be a -13 and a 13+ version, maybe just say this game uses more complex terms and methodology.

This is a good idea, but If you’re planning on trying to make this a game big, I personally think It would fail. Reason being, the ROBLOX platform consists of children ages (13 or younger) which have no idea what chemistry and physics are. Other then that, I think that game would be a great educational game, and the idea around the game is also very interesting. Good luck with this project!

Sounds great but I’d say swords and guns doesn’t match the concept of a science game and instead of the ‘-13 and +13 mode’ you could add a ‘easy, normal and difficult’ mode (for example in the start menu)

I had this Idea a few months ago but it involved discovering parts of areas that have a trigger to some skill, such as breaking a rock triggers the geology skill.

Seems interesting, although you want to keep in mind. If you want to call it an educational game, you gotta focus on education. It’s good and all if it’s a fun game, but it doesn’t matter if you learn nothing.

Making an educational game is a good idea, as Roblox has a tendency to feature them in the “Learn & Explore” section on the front page.

Instead of making a 13- and a 13+ version, you could simply add progressive difficulty to the game, so the more you know, the harder it gets. This way, older kids who know more, will breeze through the questions until the reach their level, whereas younger kids still have the possibility of reaching the same points as everyone else.

Just make sure you make it an educational game, and not an education inspired game.
