Egg hunt 2019 is broken (floors don't have collision and you can't walk on walls)

In egg hunt 2019 there are floors without collision and you can’t walk up walls that you’re meant to be able to walk up.

Floors without collision: Some areas in the windmill, avengers temples (only got footage from two)

Walls that you can’t walk up (that you’re meant to be able to walk up): In the hub and in the rooms that you get Scrambling Egg of Time, Cracking Technoleggy Turret, Missing Egg of ARG, and the boss fight area

Also the pulse glove gear was invisible.

Since egg hunt 2017 and 2018 are currently public and functional, the same should go for egg hunt 2019.

Thanks for the report! I filed a ticket in our internal database and we’ll follow up when we have an update for you.

The event ended 6 years ago, updating it is just a waste of resources. I don’t think trying to keep every ancient event up to date will benefit anyone.

When I’ve got the time, I’ll take a deeper look, forwarding these and any other issues I find to the lead dev. Not sure if they’ll have the resources to update it right now, but I’d imagine that they’d be interested in keeping the game alive somehow. Appreciated!

There’s plenty of reasons to keep old events working, from the historical value of new players being able to revisit these games to the nostalgia of letting old players revisit an experience they grew up with. Calling it “a waste of resources” to preserve these games views them as a product rather than a work of art that real people put themselves into.

Art or not, I don’t think that’s even the issue here. Barely anyone plays it, maybe a few people occasionally logging in for a few minutes, and the event itself ended more than half a decade ago. Redirecting the whole team to fix a game from such an old event should be the absolute lowest priority, to the point where it shouldn’t even be considered. From a corporate perspective, this should be seen as a waste, at least in my opinion—but everyone thinks what they want.

Seriously? You think that’s the kind of bugs Roblox engineers should be concerned about? No-one cares about this game anymore, I don’t even know why they agreed to update it.

When I first saw this bug report, I initially thought it was related to catalog assets, but it is a problem regarding back-end coding.

Now, respectfully, I do think this won’t be fixed by Roblox employees because, firstly, it is an old event that occurred 6 years ago. You can’t get and do anything you used to besides exploring a map that got broken due to new technologies that impacted old projects; Secondly, this experience had a different project management. This was created and designed by Roblox developers, similar to the “Elite Builders of Robloxia” group who made “Egg Hunt 2017: Lost in Time”. Although there are new teams that are responsible for managing and building platform events such as “RDC 2023”, “The Classic”, and others called “Game Operations” and “Knowledge”, they don’t have access to this specific project.

All that being said, this will be likely closed by engineers internally. There’s nothing much to do, except passing this information to lead developers instead (in case you have contacts with them).

Hey, thanks for the report! I agree, this is an old experience, so I’m going to close it out  but please let us know if you find anything more recent!!!
