2018 Updates

March 29th, 2018

  • Fixed the Painted Rose Egg for console players.
  • Fixed an issue where Eggfection would not work at all except when handed out by developers. In the new version, both developers and players wearing the Eggfection hat can give out Eggfection when touched.
  • Fixed the Aymor boss fight entirely, including that the correct music plays now.
  • Fixed an issue in the Return of the Rabbit boss battle where the player would get stuck not being able to do anything.
  • Improved user experience of players waiting for the dragon boss battle.
    fixed an issue where the inkwell egg could be missed completely by players with no way to pick it up later in the game. it now spawns on the star in the middle of the library if the user missed it somehow during the tutorial.
  • Fixed an issue where Inveggstigator could not be completed.
  • Fixed an issue with the admin launcher not reloading properly after the first clip.
  • Improved experience of players waiting for the Ruins of Wookong boss fight.
  • Added extra clarification to some minigames in several words, including the ice cream balancing minigame.
  • Fixed Radio Egg spawn locations.
  • Improved Good Knight Egg spawning algorithm.
  • Fixed intro cutscene playing every time someone joins.
  • Easy-to-find egg spawning adjusted and fixed in places with more than one.
  • Fixed issues related to animations on several NPCs which broke dialogue.
  • Chat is no longer hidden during cutscenes.
  • Player no longer gets stuck in the Rabid Rabbit fight in Return of the Rabbit.
  • Tutorial made easier. (more intuitively designed jumps/explanation)
  • Enabled a drop button for when items/tools are held.
  • Fixed particles and sound of the Dragon Egg Backpack.
  • Fixed an issue with the Feast Egg minigame where several dozens of NPCs would stack onto each other.
  • Improved introduction screen for the library so it hopefully gets stuck on a black screen less often.
  • Sound effects added to movement and some UI (more to come).
  • Fixed an issue where easy-to-find eggs would stop spawning in Hardboiled City, Ruins of Wookong, and Easterbury Canals.
  • Fixed scaling and display of several egg models in the library and in the 3D book view.
  • Fixed the distance between the cupcakes to stop indicator related issues.
  • Fixed an issue with the Presegg sub-world where sleighs would spawn inside of each other.
  • Fixed minor building issues in Wonderland Grove.

  • Fixed issue where the player could spawn outside the hotel upon using the elevator.
  • Improved the dialogue of the DIY egg NPC.
  • Fixed the issue regarding Egg Capone rewarding you the egg multiple times.
  • Fixed issue regarding the Feathered Fabergégg’s pedestal room.
  • Fixed issue where people would be locked out of the game when they need to see the Feathered Fabergégg’s cutscene.
  • Updated beta sound effects to their intended assets.
  • Fixed resetting NPC in the Undernest resetting data when you selected “No”.
  • Some dialogue text fixes.
  • Fixed an issue regarding the Sunnyside Heights boundary.

March 30th, 2018

  • Newton’s Third Law of Eggs has been buffed to make spawn times quicker in new servers.
  • Stein’s Basement world is now playable.
  • Cannons in Egg of Dark Nest area fixed for mobile users.
  • Spider Egg now always awards when finishing its mission.
  • Improvements to the Dreggon egg.
  • Multiple Treasured Egg of the Wookong Jungle fixes.
  • Fixed NPC that caused you to get stuck and have to rejoin.

March 31st, 2018

  • We’ve now enabled VIP servers on the Egg Hunt for 200 Robux! Get your friends, join exclusive private servers, and enjoy a greater experience!
  • Fixed issue where badges and hats were not awarded sometimes.
  • Shutting down Ruins of Wookong servers at 8 PM PST for arena fixes.

April 5th, 2018

  • Fractured Space and the Fifteam egg were introduced to the game!
  • Fixes regarding Spanish localization.
  • Fixes regarding library Fabergé gate not opening or opening wrongly.
  • Various fixes regarding egg gameplay on mobile devices and Xbox.
  • Fixed an issue where the Gunter gate would not work for Xbox players
  • Temple in Ruins of Wookong should be more robust now.

April 6th, 2018

  • In new servers fragments will not shatter upon entering the wrong combination.

  • Speed Run badge & associated leaderboards (in the library) available in new servers.

  • Big shop update! This update includes a variety of items such as a portable zipline, portable cannon, in-game Eggmin Launcher, 19 pets including some characters like Gurt, Aymor and Booker, 8 animated emotes and 14 particles.

  • Fixed skeleton cage pet not showing up correctly when equipped.
  • Fixed umbrella and wings items in Wonderland Grove causing the player to fall out of the world.
  • Clarified descriptions on portable zipline and cannon to be more accurate.
  • Made the shop look better on mobile devices in both landscape and portrait mode.
  • Streamlined the Presegg minigame for a better player experience.
  • Tools now retain position in the toolbar.

April 15th, 2018

  • Added a few new pets, particle effects, animations, and consumables to the shop.
  • Fixed the mobile toolbelt not showing up on some devices.
  • Fixed a bug that caused pets to fall through the ground sometimes instead of hanging next to the player’s character.

April 20th, 2018

  • 2018 eggs can no longer be obtained for your site-wide avatar.

2019 Updates

April 18th, 2019

  • A lost page of the Eggcyclopedia has just been found! Go back in time to find The Egg of Origin in The Mirage, the egg that created the Eggverse!
  • Converted lighting in most maps to Voxel, some Compatibility.
  • Building optimizations for the library and Easterbury Canals.
  • Fixed issues where players get stuck on barriers in a few worlds.
  • Fixed bug that allowed players to fling for multiple tools.
  • The Eggmin 2019 and Video Star eggs are available as well.

April 19th, 2019

  • The Eggmin 2019 and Video Star Egg Launchers are now available.

May 26th, 2019

  • The Egg of Origin and the Eggmin 2019 and Video Star eggs are no longer available.

December 12th, 2019

  • Enabled the new Smooth Terrain decoration grass!


2020 Updates

July 8th, 2020

  • Added depth of field to a few worlds (at a very far distance)
  • Egg Launchers are now fixed.
  • Tweaked lighting in some worlds to work better with the PBR lighting model
  • Relatively significant performance increase in the library by switching some unnecessary PointLights to SpotLights, will also make transitioning to Future lighting easier. Still some work to be done for future updates.
  • Various performance increases in a few worlds, more to come of this in future updates!

October 13th, 2020

  • Tweaked colours in some worlds like Wonderland Grove

  • Collision fixes across all worlds, saved a significant amount of memory and also made collisions more predictable
  • Bouncing off cars is more reliable
  • Added atmosphere to a few worlds like The Mirage

November 29th, 2020

  • Added Depth of Field to The Mirage

  • Enabled mesh LoDs for all worlds which can lead to significantly better performance especially on mobile
  • Adjusted lights in all of the worlds to work with Future lighting!

Future lighting is now enabled in all worlds!


April 7th, 2021

  • Fixed ice cream balancing minigame on all devices in Easterbury Canals (and changed its gameplay to be easier to understand)

  • You will now be teleported back to the chocolate factory if you fail the ice cream balancing minigame, get teleported to the ice cream shop, create another sub-zero ice cream cone, and pick it up (so you don’t have to painfully walk all the way back again!)

  • Fixed the ingredients not showing on the plate during the Feast Egg minigame in Easterbury Canals

  • Fixed a small movement jolt in the informant image when Commissioner Sousa first gives it to you in Hardboiled City
