A few days ago I decided to create a low-detailed small western themed map and see if I could answer my own question of how to make a SkySphere, which I was able to answer myself by the smart usage of CSG and textures. Not only did I answer my question and made a working SkySphere (mind you its not actually a sphere right now) but I also “animated” the sky to have a smooth transition from clear skies to cloudy overcast.
After successfully creating the sky, I created some morphs of some scallies (Humanoid reptilians) :
And threw in a gun to give it an old western showdown feel…
I didn’t just stop there, I experimented with some CFraming to figure out the angle of the projectile’s impact and make it spawn a small cloud of dust and make a certain sound depending on what material you hit. If you would like to see all of this, then go here.
It makes a huge difference to me… I try my best to make my places have a good ambient feeling to them…
Also, updated my original post with gif’s and a better explanation of what this is. (Not that I actually have a clue on what I’m making.)
Different humanized animals, fish, bugs, and lizards, of course. Give them lazer weapons from space, mixed in with the hard projectiles like that six shooter you have.
I love the atmosphere there. The glass and tin sounds are a cool addition. Put objectives in there so people have a reason to shoot em up.

Lazors! … that reminds me I still need to make those Fallout 3 engery weapons… Thanks for the love of the atmosphere.
But the real question is, what would the objective be? I honestly don’t have any ideas in my mind for objectives.
