I tried logging into my Roblox account on another device, but the email verification codes take 30 minutes or more to arrive in my ProtonMail inbox. When I tested this with a different account using Gmail, the verification code was received instantly. I’m worried that if I get logged out of my main account, I won’t be able to log back in.
Is this a common issue, and how can I fix it?
PS: I tried changing my email or generating backup codes, but I need a verification code for those actions as well. Are there any ways to speed up the verification code delivery process or work around this issue?
PS2: I tried logging in on my phone, on my brother’s computer, and in an incognito tab on my current device, but nothing worked. I also tried from different locations, and it’s not a VPN issue either.
I think it only happened to me once or twice in the 6 years I’ve been on Roblox. However, it may be happening to you, I suggest you specify the information of the device where you are trying to log in so that, in case a Roblox Staff analyzes your post, they can make the respective report.
I have checked and looked into your issue. I found this post on the Roblox help website, and this one on Devforum.
That’s what I thought, but why does it work with Gmail? It seems to be a problem specific to either my account or ProtonMail. I will try this again tomorrow morning and hope it works.
In the meantime, I will test it by creating a new Roblox account and connecting it to a ProtonMail email to see if there’s also a delay.
I am having the same issue right now with Proton Mail. The email eventually does get sent but only 16 hours late when the code expires in 15 minutes. My account is now locked out because of a 6 digit code not being sent. Roblox needs to address this quick.
I’m not sure if Roblox can fix this. After researching, it seems that many other Proton Mail users are experiencing the same issue with different non-Roblox verification codes. Most Reddit posts about this have appeared in the last few days, so i think its a new problem. Hopefully, Proton is already working on a solution.
I hope so! I eventually received all my emails. Wondering whether it is possible to set up App Authenticator through email support and if this can bypass this issue? My phone is connected so I thought I could do 2FA with that but couldn’t figure it out.
