ROBLOX Mobile already does this, how about PC?
######well , mobile doesn’t have controlling of the character but still
Ability to see avatar animations without going in-game by clicking on the view to control your character
Character instantly updates instead of having to wait for the server to redraw
Can see how it looks with the in-game rendering

Or even cooler, embed an avatar editor in the roblox client!
but that’s also a really awesome idea

I think someone was working on a in-game wardrobe for Hack Week, but nothing came out of it.

Oh by the way

Roblox is reimagining the way people come together. Our platform enables anyone to create, connect, learn, shop and express themselves in immersive 3D experiences.
Not sure if that’s the same as what you were suggesting though.

Doesn’t look like it’ll be in-game though, just the same 3D server draw with an added 3D environment.

Well, create a seperate ROBLOX process and render it to the browser if possible.
Why? Seems pretty niche. I can see the use of the in-game avatar editor, but not moving the character around on the site. We already see them in 3D, can rotate them to see different angles of the character, and ROBLOX plans on making animations viewable in the 3D preview – I don’t see why we’d need to control the character as well.
An in-game avatar editor was on the way but suddenly vanished and was never spoken about again.
