Air Support
Air Support Calls: We are bringing an update we never thought we would! On the Police or Sheriff teams, you can request Air Support through the MDT. This will call in an AI-controlled helicopter to locate criminals!
There are two different modes: Patrol and Locate Player. In “Locate Player” mode, it will track down a specific player and show that player on the map for all LE officers. “Patrol” mode will have the helicopter randomly fly around the map, highlighting any criminals it flies over! If a criminal is located in either mode, the helicopter will shine a spotlight on them. Each mode will only allow the helicopter to fly for 3 minutes before returning to base.
The helicopter is only controlled by AI, and cannot be flown by players. This features is locked to rank 4 (Sergeant) and above. There is a cooldown per-player after you call the helicopter, and a 10 minute server cooldown. You can bypass the per-player cooldown or the rank-lock if you choose to pay with Robux.
Specifications:
- Will fly around for approximately 3 minutes
- Has a 10 minute server cooldown
- Has a 1 hour player cooldown if you are UNDER Sergeant (must use Robux)
- Has a 2 hour player cooldown if you are Sergeant+ (can bypass cooldown with Robux)
Note: There is a bug where occasionally the helicopter will appear motionless. This is due to a Roblox bug within their physics engine’s sleep feature. You can get it moving again by walking near it. This has been reported to Roblox.
