Endless Cave diving game, do you find it fun?

As obv the best player in the game (the leaderboards don’t lie) I feel it’s my obligation to leave my feedback.

We’ll start off with the Suggestions followed with the bugs.


Suggestions

  • Lobby/Spawn

    • Create more space, currently you just spawn and your forced to go one direction being the cave/hole. Now that’s not entirely a bad thing but if you wanted to add more content in the future your limited on space.

    • The leaderboards, place them side-by-side with more width/height so that you can fit the players in there easier. It’ll still be a scrollable type but you won’t have my name and the time overlapping like it currently is.

  • User Experience / Content

    • Background Music, right now it’s just quiet. Sure you’ve got a falling sound effect and that does help out with it but other type of audio would be nice to have as well.

    • A speed boost/brake, perhaps a boost you can purchase with some type of currency gained by falling through the cave. As different levels of the cave you get a reward or something of that manner.

    • Real-time distance meter, I don’t really have a sense of how deep the cave is before I get a win. How far am I falling? How far have I fallen? What zone am I currently in? Something kind of like “tower of hell” where you’ve got the bar on the side would work. Other games like bike racing have used a similar idea of progression.

  • Cave/Hole

    • While I was falling it seemed like different cave regions I fell through but the difficulty kind of changed between the 3 that I was able to count initially. The first one wasn’t bad it had some partly difficult spots then went into the open area the second region I counted was like a red area that wasn’t terrible either although the last region I hit at about 30k distance I think where it was all neon was an absolute pain. Now I was just fine but I can definitely see where it might become an issue for other users due to the brightness of the zone. I’d suggest making it like an off-white so its still white/neon but not quite bright enough to have that much bloom.

    • Add more cave regions like an green area where it’s like of like acid type or a lava area where the walls are red and you’ve got lava drops and what not.

Bugs

  • Jumping doesn’t always work, I had an issue where when I first jumped it worked fine then after I died it took a few seconds standing there before it started the walking simulation again. The third time It didn’t work at all and I had to rejoin the game.

Aside from that I didn’t find any other bugs but there also isn’t much content in the game to base it off so mostly everything here is just suggestions/feedback.
