EN/RU Tutorial For Beginners - Options for Export/Import of a 3D model and solutions to some problems

EN
Welcome to this tutorial for Beginners.
Below is a video lesson in English and Russian versions.
p.s. The video has subtitles.

The following questions will be clearly discussed:

  • How to export a 3D model from Blender?
  • What are the ways to import into Roblox Studio?
  • What are the differences between import methods, their advantages and disadvantages?
  • How to add texture to a 3D model?
  • What to do if part of the texture/polygons is not visible?
  • What should I do if, when importing a 3D model in fbx format, the model becomes large in size?

Since this is my first post on the devforum, mistakes on my part are possible, I hope for constructive criticism, to improve my experience in creating guides and using devforum.

Thank you for your time!

RU

Ниже представлен видео-гайд в русскоязычной версии.
p.s. У видео есть субтитры.

Будут наглядно рассмотрены такие вопросы как:

  • Как экспортировать 3Д модель из Blender?
  • Какие есть способы импорта в Roblox Studio?

This looks like it’s a good tutorial, but there’s a better way to fix the large imported meshes:

  1. In Blender, go to the Scene properties, and set it to use metric units, 0.01 scale, and set length to centimeters (which I forgot to highlight), like this:
    RecommendedBlenderScaleSettings.png
  2. :coefficients: Export a size/proportion reference mesh from Roblox Studio, such as a character model or part. With the settings you set in step 1, it will import into Blender with its intended scale.
  3. Using your reference model, resize the mesh that you’re planning to import into Roblox soon. I think every centimeter is equal to a stud in Roblox Studio.
  4. Export as a FBX file, but leave its scale at 1. (Make sure you don’t accidentally export the reference, though!)
  5. Like your tutorial talks about, check or uncheck the “import as single mesh” option as needed, then import it.
  6. :happy3: Tada! Your mesh should be accurately scaled, and if it was aligned to a reference, it will be placed relative to it.

(I actually updated my default Blender file to use this scaling; I like how I don’t have to manually raise giant models after I import them to my experience anymore.)

This is a very good answer and will be useful both to me and to other new users.
