I was just trying to export it and not use it in any other external program
then why not just leave it in studio if you’re not using it any where else
But its a problem for when I do want to export right ? Its obviously not explainable on why it is happening so its a problem to be explained so I can understand why its being blocked.
What if we try to resave the file or model again? Maybe the saving process didn’t write something in it right? Is there a setting that blocks export’s in the world? Is the file size too big?
So do you mean, recreate the item from scratch and then try the export again ?
Probably, see when I was building in studio, trying to make a union or negative part, sometimes the parts themselves would error telling me that “CSG instances or problematic parts”. Maybe the export saved it with that error in there and it’s causing problems.
Ok. I just recreated the part and tried to export it and walla…same error message.
I’ve made my part transparent, that is why all you see on the screen are the wings.
Its just a Part that has a Surface Gui in it
Hmm wow this is tough. Did you contact support before hand?
Perhaps the surface Gui is causing some issues? I don’t think so but it can be a cause.
No I didn’t contact support. I figured this was the way to get help.
Maybe it’s a good idea to contact support, but the dev forum works too.
Is the studio updated? I’d think it is but this is a really weird case.
How do I update Studio ? Its not automatic ?
Wait your studio isn’t updated? Well if it’s the case try closing it then right clicking it and see if an update is available.
I right clicked on the blue Roblox Studio Icon and I’m not seeing anything that says an update is necessary.
Are you on a PC or Mac? Either way there should be an applications folder with settings in it.
Also what happened to cause this error, like did you change a setting on the studio or computer? or was the last exports saved differently?
I am on a PC and the last time I exported the difference is it was a model and not just a part, however I just tried to export a model and it gets the same error message.
I exported just fine on Feb 8th and Feb 9th.
It works once or twice but then quits working… it drives me bonkers b/c I think I am doing something wrong and I want to understand it and learn what I did wrong but I can’t find an explanation.
It could be a virus from a plugin… I am not really sure, because I have never had this problem before ;-;
Well I have not installed any new plugins since the 8th and 9th. So that logic sorta fails right ? The plugins I’ve got were there when I successfully exported on those two days. I guess viruses aren’t that predictable though ? I mean gosh I don’t understand viruses to really know for certain.
I would probably uninstall the plugins that you barely use and see what happens, hopefully you can fix your problem :>
I don’t have hardly any plugins on my Studio to begin with and the ones I have I do actually use. I just don’t think its a plugin issue.
