Events platform [Full release]

HUGE W from Roblox, can’t wait for more event stuff to start coming out! I wonder what the first major community events will be… :eyes:

Very nice addition! I’m currently giving it a try with an upcoming easter update.

My only comment is the upcoming event tends to be a little buried on my game’s page. I’d like to garner as many followers for it but the badges category seems to push it down a bit meaning users on desktop would have to scroll down more to find it. Preferably it’s more presented maybe above the badges or higher up.

I really like this new update to the Roblox platform and I hope we get more upcoming updates on the event platform

and I was wondering how can I see all the events going around recently, is there a certain website you can go and sign yourself to the event or is it in the game description, I don’t really know

Although it’s a great update in my opinion, and it will make so make people happy

This is a really cool update and I see alot of benefits for using this in a variety of fields.

I’d like to see an integration similar to translators for the localisation tab in who can create/edit events for my game.

I think this is a super cool update, and teams I work on have already been using the Events feature on Discord to schedule game events; it’s nice to see it on Roblox finally.

However, for groups with large development teams or community teams, particularly ones I am part of, it is inconvenient for the group owner to be the only one who can create events for group games. Would the team consider allowing people with game edit permissions to also create events for games?

this is confirmation that it is able to be done by small roblox devs as this account that I work with @Dynamite_947 only has around 2k visits total

this is what it looks like on the game page, it is under badges although I think it should be above badges so that people can see in games like slap battles or other games with tons of badges, I think the events should be on top because it is a good thing to focus on and most people never scroll that far down anyway

At this moment I was trying to create an event for my game, but when I press the create event button it doesn’t load and gives me a 404 error.
I don’t know if I’m the only one, but if someone can help me I would appreciate it.

I really hope they add a group permission setting in the future to create/edit events (a bit like they did with the open cloud settings). I’m the lead scripter on a group and I run the account that owns the group but switching between group owner account to developing account and back takes so much time due to having to verify each login. So yes, I CAN create events in the group, but for security reasons, I’d much rather do it on my main developing account rather than the one designed for public viewing.

I’d really love to see a “Happening Now” and an “Upcoming Events” tab/page as well as a feature where people who are following an experience get notified automatically when a new event has been set up and published. (I know it’s been mentioned before but move the events section above the badges please.)

If you can share, would this include game passes and classic clothing as well? Or just UGC accessories/clothing? If the latter I would really love it if game passes and classic clothing could be awarded. It (well really game passes) has been a feature many people have wanted for so long.

Cool update!
One thing i imagine would be fun to have is the ability to browse through scheduled events or currently ongoing events of games both players have / haven’t played. This way, players will be able to get reminded of games they used to play and may even be interested enough to make them go back to experience the event, while luring in new players through providing interesting events.

Hey all, I wanted to provide an update on group event creation! We heard your concerns, and have made it easier to create events for group owned experiences.

Now, anyone with the “Create and edit group experiences” permission enabled can create and manage events, rather than only the group owner being able to do so.

We appreciate your feedback and hope that this makes it easier for you to create events! Thanks to @AbstractAlex, @Avadonia, @Rootie_DaHoodie, @FamedChris, @Sonostrano20, @LegendOJ1, @IncredibleTeamAidan, and others who brought up their concerns.

Hello, Great Update and thank you for allowing us to do that in group.

however I found something wrong, take a look here:

Why Overview page return “Access Denied”? (Only when creating event on Groups wich you don’t own but you have the Create and edit group experiences)

Thank you.

It will be a nice feature be able to give avatar items in the events, no?

that’s probably going to be in the distant future.

It would be better if we could add personalized hosts/cohosts and select them ourselves, aswell as a “Manage events” permission in the roblox group, instead of the one we currently have (Create and edit group experiences), but i guess this will be improved/changed in the future.

Also, do we have an API for the events? Or this does not exist yet?

Yes!! This should make up for a lack of real events on Roblox. Hopefully someone manages to make a Discord <-> Roblox event sync bot to further reduce workload!

Created our first event. It’s landing page looks kinda funky though… Not sure what to do.
