When I exit freecam mode (shift+p), my mouse is locked in centre. I attempted to change my camera mode but it doesn’t fix the issue. I tried toggling shiftlock too, no changes. I noticed this happening a week ago.
I am using Windows 10. It appears to happen with every game (that I have access to freecam).
Expected behavior
I expect to be able to move around my mouse after exiting freecam.
We weren’t able to immediately reproduce the problem. Could you let us know any exact repro steps and whether this only happens if you have shift lock enabled? Does this happen in both Studio and clients, and are you using the latest version of the Roblox provided FreecamScript added into PlayerGui at runtime?
I don’t usually have shift lock enabled, so I only ever got it without shift lock. It happens randomly in any game really, I’ve had it a game I have studio access to, it has the freecam script in PlayerGui so that everyone can use it, and I’m assuming other games that have freecam for non-devs also uses this method. A fix is to enable shift lock and reenter and exit freecam again, but it’s pretty annoying having to do that every time it happens.
Thanks for providing details, we are taking a further look. Does the issue only happen if you are holding down right click when activating freecam? Could you attach a video of this happening on a new baseplate in Studio so we can diagnose the issue?
I appreciate your help, we’ll work on a fix for this! If you are able to reproduce this issue any other way than entering freecam while right click is held down for camera rotation, please do let us know.
